That's because Nissan created the ultimate Wagon Z already.
Take a 510 wagon, replace the rear solid axle with 510 rear independent suspension, swap out the L20 for an L24 and you're good to go!

That particular one has a 500some HP 7M-GTE at the time of the photo, but has since been swapped for a no shit imported overnight from Japan 2JZ-GTE.

It has a rear mounted radiator since, well, as you can see by the picture, when going from a 50-year-old 2.0l 4-cylinder to a 20-year-old twin turbo 6-cylinder, you tend to run into issues with length .
You can still find them for sale for under $5000, but the 510 sedans are pretty much priced into collector status now. This is because the sedans had legitimate racing chops, and came much sportier stock. But 90% of the parts swap over to the wagons anyway.
